Compare a transaction with its source
Run a field-level comparison and interpret the saved result.
#Start from a transaction
Open a record ready for review. In Compare with institution record, check the definition attached to that transaction. Select the source connection and an existing transaction reference. If using a file instead, provide the original file and format requested by the screen.
#Read the result
A match, difference, missing value and incomplete check have distinct meanings. null, an absent field, an empty string and a number are not interchangeable. Inspect the actual values and selected definition scope. A source retrieval failure is not a successful comparison.
#Repeat a request safely
Reusing a runId with an identical comparison request can return the existing run. Do not reuse it with different parameters. A new comparison requires a new run identity.
#Evidence, reports and history
Saved results can be exported as a report or offline package. A report signature verifies the saved report content; it is not an independent opinion on the business accuracy of the institutional source.
